Installing Metamask Wallet

To download Metamask, follow these simple steps:

  1. Open your preferred web browser and go to the official Metamask website (https://metamask.io/).

  2. On the website's homepage, you should see a prominent "Get Chrome Extension" or "Get Firefox Extension" button. Click on the button that corresponds to your browser.

  3. You will be redirected to the browser's extension store (Chrome Web Store or Firefox Add-Ons).

  4. Click on the "Add to Chrome" or "Add to Firefox" button to initiate the download.

  5. A pop-up window will appear, asking for confirmation to add the extension. Click "Add extension" to proceed.

  6. Wait for the extension to download and install. Once the installation is complete, a Metamask icon will appear in your browser's toolbar.

  7. Follow the on-screen prompts to set up your Metamask wallet, including creating a new wallet or importing an existing one using a seed phrase.

  8. Set up a strong password for your wallet and securely store the seed phrase. This phrase is crucial for wallet recovery, so keep it in a safe place.

  9. Congratulations! You have successfully downloaded and set up Metamask. You can now use it to interact with Kyoto blockchain applications and manage your digital assets.

Add Kyoto network

  1. Click on the network selector button. This will display a list of networks to which you're already connected and click 'Add network':

  1. A new browser tab will open. Now click on 'Add a network manually.'

4. This will open a new sub-tab displaying various fields to fill out:

For the purposes of our example, we utilized the Kyoto Testnet as a reference. However, if you wish to connect to the Kyoto Mainnet, you will be able to find all the necessary network details in this section as well.

  1. Now click on 'Save', and the new network will pop up automatically in the list of networks.

Find your network address

  1. Your Wallet address will be displayed as a combination of letters and numbers starting with "0x...".

  2. You can click on it to copy it to your clipboard. Additionally, you can click the three dots in MetaMask to access "Account Details" or choose "View on Etherscan" to view your address on the Etherscan blockchain explorer.
